Gasoline Calibration Engineer

The Powertrain Calibration Engineer is responsible for developing, testing, and validating vehicle-based calibrations that achieve world-class fuel economy and drivability meeting Tier3/LEV III emission standards. The Engineer will plan, generate, and verify feature calibrations in hot climate, cold climate, and high altitude in accordance with powertrain system functional objectives. The candidate will work cross functionally with powertrain controls and vehicle teams to identify and implement calibration solutions that achieve program drivability and emissions requirements. The candidate should expect to travel 4-6 weeks throughout the year for system validation/verification. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent Engineering degree from an ABET accredited or equivalent university Minimum of five (5) years of experience with the development and calibration of spark ignition engines, powertrain systems development Data acquisition experience collecting and processing data Fundamental knowledge of internal combustion engines Experience with high performance engines/vehicles Working knowledge of engine analysis and calibration tools, emissions regulations, engine technologies and competitive products Valid US driver's license with an excellent driving record Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently Effective communication and interpersonal skills  Preferred Qualifications: Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university Proficient in advanced simulation tools Proficient in Matlab / Simulink 1033954

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
