Food Service Worker - Contingent/Flex

General Summary: The Food Service Worker - Caf? position is responsible for a variety of activities. Serving of customers, assembling and setting up in-house catering and vending, which includes, preparation, processing, presentation, and delivery of food for the organization.
This is a flexible/contingent position and looking to hire someone that can work both days and afternoon shift including weekend rotation. These positions can work up to full time hours when available.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend and stoop, sort and pick up repetitively dishes and silverware. Must be able to work quickly with both hands. Must be able to read tray ticket while on Room Service Line. Performs a variety of food service support functions:
Delivers meals, supplies, and equipment to other departments of the hospital
Prepares the dish room for washing service ware
Assembles all items needed to run room service
Serves patient breakfast, lunch and dinner meals
Cleans work station after meals served
Retrieves patient meal carts, disassembles, washes dishes, and restocks
Completes shift end cleaning assignments, checks out with supervisor
Required Education, Experience and Certification/Licensure
Some prior food service experience is preferred.
Required Skills and Abilities
Must possess the ability to read and write, basic math skills are helpful

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
