Medical assistants must work cooperatively with providers and administrative staff to make quality patient care a priority.
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for rooming patients, collecting history and reason for the visit, scribing, and assisting with procedures.
As a representative of the practice, this important position requires exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
The primary functions of a Medical Assistant include:
oGather and record patient information including medical history oAccurately scribe and record visit details for the provider oAssist with in-office surgical procedures oInject local anesthetic oRemove sutures oInform patients of pathology/laboratory results oAnswer patient questions via phone To be successful in the Medical Assistant role, you must have:
oPrevious customer service experience oAbility to be detail oriented oAbility to maintain confidentiality oReliability and dependability oWillingness to learn new information oAnalytical thinking and problem solving skills oExcellent interpersonal skills oAbility to thrive in a team based environment In addition, priority will be given to candidates who also have:
