Exceptional opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support our vision and serve with us as a compassionate and transforming healing presence in our community.

Part time, benefit eligible position, scheduled 40 hours per pay period (every two weeks) on Night (11pm-7:
30am) shift with a weekend and holiday commitment on the Med/Surg - Atrium East Unit at our Chelsea hospital.
Our Atrium East unit at our Chelsea hospital cares for Medical-Surgical patients.
Patient diagnoses can vary from medical such as:
COPD, Sepsis, withdrawal, GI bleeds, CHF or Surgical:
bariatric, Mastectomy, colorectal surgeries, hernias.
This unit has 24 beds and specializes in complex high acuity medical and surgical patients with length of stay from 3-5 days.
The PCA, under the direction of a registered nurse, is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs.
They assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family wellbeing including concepts of relationship-based care.
Training is provided to prepare our colleagues for success.
The PCA assists patient in completing ADLs including:
Bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices and with feeding and menu selection.
They are responsible to record patient information and required data in appropriate areas in order to meet documentation requirements.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / LICENSUREHigh school diploma, GED, or a minimum of 18 years of age.
Recent experience desired.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
